I have so many feelings about this whole thing that’s going on. I could give two shits about what Taylor Swift writes songs about, “White Horse” is fine. But bringing her into the foreground of modern feminism in music was not smooth moves. People, there are serious issue about the way music is consumed and written about. Let’s start solving it by not trying to make music that is in no way a political statement a means to discuss women in pop music. Let’s end it by saying Taylor Swift is no Avril Lavigne. On a similar note, why is this dude from Spin saying that Azealia Banks and Nicki Minaj are making everything okay in the world of hip-hop for women? I’m obviously over simplifying it, but honestly…Lupe’s latest video may be hackneyed, over wrought histrionics, but fuck you for acting like this isn’t a real issue.  Moral of the story is that none of you PEOPLE understand ME and my VAGINA.
